The fashion and lingerie gallery is undergoing a metamorphosis to enable it to display its collections in chronological order and to showcase its latest acquisitions.
Over the last century, the popularity of lace has ebbed and flowed and flourished once again; making an appearance in day wear, evening dresses and sets of lingerie. Thus is fashion. The new focus on the collections is revealing this art of appearance and seduction, enabling the female body to progressively shed its image as an object to become a subject. It appears androgynous with “on aura tout vu” or seductive in Chantal Thomass. It adopts a casual chic look by Rykiel or a neo-classical Bohemian style in Van Steenbergen. It opts for disarray in Balenciaga or Anne Valérie Hash, when it isn’t bordering on fetishism with Iris Van Herpen…Lace knows no limits with the great stylists!
